Westerton Farm Site Flooding

Bearsden Councillor Vaughan Moody has been helping local residents with drainage issues at the Westerton Farm site.

Crudens the Builder and Council Planners have realised that the Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) will not cope with all the potentail rainfall on the Westerton site.

A combination of SUDS with an underwater tank with a pipe to the water system in Deepdene Road have been brought in. To connect the pipe they have dug a trench on a pathway between the site and Deepdene Road.

The pathway (a Right of Way) is partly owned by Sheila Naughton. Cruden’s dug the trench without asking for her permission as an owner. Then to add ‘insult to injury’ they piled the earth from the trench against her fence, damaging it in places.

Vaughan commented:

“This is Crudens continuing as a bad neighbour. No wonder they are generating anger and resentment on this and other
issues.”

“The local people and I are looking for Crudens to make good the damage that has been done.”
