Bank of Scotland funding opportunity for local charities

Jo Swinson MP is encouraging local charities in East Dunbartonshire to apply for the Bank of Scotland Foundation’s £1 million give-away.

Grants of up to £20,000 will be given away to Scottish charities to develop and improve local communities by tackling social exclusion and engaging with lower-earning individuals.

The scheme, funded by Lloyds Banking Group, is keen to hear from initiatives that provide services in money advice, debt help and life skills in order to promote financial literacy and inclusion across Scotland. Jo has highlighted the give-away so that charities in East Dunbartonshire can get their applications in before the first-round deadline at 5pm on 15th April.

Commenting, Jo said:

“The Bank of Scotland Foundation’s scheme is a great way of giving deserving local charities a vital financial boost to provide the most vulnerable people with advice, support and new skills.”

“I hope that East Dunbartonshire’s valuable charities will take advantage of this opportunity and apply for funding.”
