Local MP Jo Swinson is urging East Dunbartonshire residents to attend the inaugural ‘SeasonED to Taste’ festival in Kirkintilloch on Saturday 26th-Sunday 27th April.
The festival offers a great chance to promote local produce and support businesses in Kirkintilloch. There will be a Scottish-Italian culinary theme throughout the weekend, an acknowledgement of the close ties between the two nations.
Other events being held at the festival include a traditional market, cooking demonstrations, beer tasting and an ice cream flavour competition for young people.
Speaking before the festival Jo said:
“This is a wonderful opportunity for local people to come together and celebrate the diverse range of food businesses in our community.
“There are a variety of events catering for all ages, and I pay tribute to the organisers of the weekend. I hope many people from across East Dunbartonshire will find time to support the first ever ‘SeasonED to Taste’ festival.”
