Local MP Jo Swinson is encouraging residents to feed into East Dunbartonshire Council’s consultation on the Main Issues Report which runs until Monday 4 November. The report lays out the Council’s vision on where new housing, economic and retail development should be located in the local area. As part of the consultation process the Council will also hold speed debating and drop-in sessions.
Commenting, Jo Swinson said:
“Our council is faced with the tough task of building affordable housing in mixed communities while protecting the greenbelt areas that local residents love and are proud of.
“Any resident with an idea or an opinion on how land should be used in our area should feed into this consultation and help shape the future Local Development Plan that will influence decisions on planning applications for years to come.
“Full details can be found on www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/MIR .”
