Commenting on the stabbing in Bishopbriggs Park this week Jo said:
“This was a terrible attack which sickened people in Bishopbriggs and the wider area. The local community is understandably shocked when this sort of thing happens.
“I’ve spoken to the police who have increased patrols in the area to make sure people feel safe following this horrendous attack in broad daylight. This has included use of police horses and off-road motorbikes.
“The public’s vigilance is helping the police who are working hard to make sure they catch the people responsible and bring them to justice.
“Bishopbriggs is a good, strong community and we must all pull together against this horrific crime.
“I encourage any witnesses or anybody with information to go to the police by calling 101.”
