Jo is currently preparing for a somewhat longer run: the London Marathon on April 17th. As the second woman MP ever to run the marathon, she hopes to raise at least £100 for each mile of the 26.2 mile course for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Commenting, Jo Swinson said:
“I really enjoyed participating in the Santa Dash. The sight of thousands of Santas pacing through the streets of Glasgow in January must have been truly unique!
“The training for my next challenge, the London Marathon, is well underway. I hope that the sponsorship money raised will help 260 leukaemia and lymphoma research projects across the country in developing new treatments and finding the causes of these devastating cancers.
