Jo has spread the word about the joy of reading as one of World Book Night’s 20,000 book givers.
Jo gave away 48 copies of ‘Case Histories’ by Kate Atkinson this weekend as part of national World Book Night celebrations.
Jo distributed books to Perth women’s group ‘Be Yourself’ and delegates in the exhibition hall at the Perth Liberal Democrat conference, before joining local residents at Bearsden Hall.
As part of World Book Night’s ambitious book give-away by passionate readers, Jo passed on copies of the book to other readers, explaining why she had enjoyed it.
Commenting, Jo said:
“It was great to give away Kate Atkinson’s Case Histories in Perth and East Dunbartonshire for World Book Night. After receiving this book as a gift myself, it was a pleasure to give it to others. This weekend 1 million books were distributed across the UK, an achievement which I hope will encourage people to enjoy a good book more often.
Jo and conference delegates in Perth
“It was great to share the delights of Case Histories with Perth women, conference delegates from all over Scotland and East Dunbartonshire residents. Bringing people together for World Book Night was a lovely way to celebrate the talents of a successful author, and a reminder of the value of a personally recommended read.”
