Millersneuk Primary, now a Fairtrade school - Jo

Jo Swinson MP for East Dunbartonshire is congratulating Millersneuk Primary on achieving Fairtrade school status.  Millersneuk has met the 5 goals which include using and selling Fairtrade products as much as possible and learning about Fairtrade in at least three subjects in two year groups.

Commenting Jo said:

“I’m delighted that Millersneuk has been awarded Fairtrade school status and I congratulate the hard work and efforts of the school’s steering group, the pupils and everyone else who worked so hard to achieve this recognition.

“This achievement shows Millersneuk staff and pupils want to make sure producers around the world get a fair deal on their products.”

“Other local schools wanting to apply for Fairtrade School status should register their interest with the Fairtrade Foundation and work towards the five goals, including involving pupils in the schools fair-trade plan.
