East Dunbartonshire MP Jo Swinson has congratulated St. Ninian’s High School in Kirkintilloch which has been nominated once again for a prestigious national schools award.
For the third time St. Ninian’s is to be considered for the Times Educational Supplement (TES) 2014 Secondary School of the Year Award, and is proudly representing Scotland as its only nomination amongst five UK schools that have been shortlisted.
Commenting, Jo said:
“This is a fantastic achievement by St. Ninian’s, and I congratulate them for the remarkable feat of being nominated for this national award three times in the last five years. It is a testament to the dedication and ambition of staff and pupils that have made this local school so respected in the community.
“I know many local people, including current and former pupils, parents and staff will take great pride in St. Ninian’s achievement and I wish them all the best of luck for the awards ceremony in London on 4th July”.
