Councillor Vaughan Moody has been working to address the concerns of his constituents about parking at a number of locations across Bearsden South.
It is now a year since the Council issued proposals to improve parking in the Chapelton area. Vaughan said “The council consulted with local people a year ago but since then nothing appears to have happened. I have asked them to take action on this.”
The issue of parking from the Garscube Estate continues, with employees and students parking in the Ravelston area to avoid parking permit fees. One effect of this is the difficulty for customers to park at businesses on the Switchback Service Road. Vaughan has asked officers to consider time restrictions which are used effectively at the Kessington shops on Milngavie Road.
