Jo welcomed pupils from Turnbull High School to Parliament last week on their school trip to London.
The pupils were on a three day trip to London which included visits to the Natural History Museum, the London Eye and a night out to see the musical Grease. They visited the Palace of Westminster for a Q&A session with Jo in one of Parliament’s grand committee rooms.
The pupils quizzed Jo on what she thought of the new coalition government, and how she succeeded in getting elected to Parliament.
Commenting, Jo said:
“It is always a pleasure to welcome young people from East Dunbartonshire to Westminster and speak to them about the job that I do representing them in Parliament, and how our democracy works. I hope the pupils from Turnbull High School enjoyed their visit to Parliament and the rest of their London trip.
“All constituents are welcome to come to Westminster for a tour of Parliament or to watch proceedings. Anyone who is interested in doing so should contact my office and I will be happy to make arrangements.”
