Rob Roy FC is working with Kirkintilloch Community Sports Club to bring their home games back to Kirkintilloch.
Planning permission for the site at Donaldson Street has been granted and work has begun to raise the additional funding needed for Rob Roy to complete the project.
With support from the Council, the club will use the proceeds from the sale of their Adamslie ground to build a 3G pitch, changing rooms, a stand, fencing, lighting and a car park. And their committee have ambitions to deliver additional community facilities – a café and a community space.
Rod says “Rob Roy FC is part of the heritage of the Kirkintilloch. It is important that the Council supports this project and I congratulate Kirkintilloch Community Sports Club on their success so far. I’m optimistic that Rob Roy supporters will cheer their team on in Kirkintilloch again, and I look forward to welcoming them to their new home south of the canal.”
