Local MP Jo Swinson is encouraging residents to feed into a consultation on the Boundary Commission for Scotland’s proposals to align the Scottish Parliament boundary with the Council boundary at Princes Gate and Greenacres by Robroyston.
42 homes in the Princes Gate development at Greenacres fought against a proposal to move their homes from East Dunbartonshire into Glasgow City in 2009.
The proposal comes off the back of an interim review being made by the Commission who are seeking the public’s views on the proposed changes until 17 May 2013.
Commenting, Jo Swinson said:
“The change will only affect a handful of electors who under these proposals would vote in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency versus the Glasgow Provan constituency.
“Anyone affected by the changes should send comments to the commission either by email to [email protected] or post to Thistle House, 91 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5HD.”
Public consultation on the proposals will run until 17 May 2013. Comments on these changes can be sent by email to [email protected] or in writing Thistle House, 91 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5HD.
