Jo launches annual Christmas Card Competition

Local MP Jo Swinson is looking for talented young people to submit designs and poems for her Christmas cards

Every year Jo holds a competition for school pupils in East Dunbartonshire to submit designs and poems for her the cards sent to 1,800 groups and individuals across East Dunbartonshire. The competition is open to all school pupils in East Dunbartonshire and the winner will be determined by a judging panel of local community figures.

The theme of this year's competition is "Christmas Future", and the winning design will be printed on the front, with the poem printed inside. Prizes will be given to the winners in the design and poetry categories, as well as the two runners up in each category. The deadline for entries is Friday 2nd November and judging will take place on 12th November.

Jo commented:

"I have received some really excellent artwork and poetry in the past and look forward each year to seeing what East Dunbartonshire's talented young people will come up with.

"The competition will give kids the chance to produce a unique piece of work, either of art or poetry on the theme of Christmas Future whilst having a great time in the process."
