Jo attended a Help for Heroes fun day at Burnbrae on Sunday to show her support for wounded soldiers.
The family fun day was held to raise money for Help for Heroes, a national charity which provides support for British soldiers wounded on the battlefield. It was organised by the Burnbrae pub, Premier Inn hotel and supported by Bearsden Community Council.
Members of the armed forces were present in great numbers, and the attractions included tanks, fire engines, support vehicles, football and paintball, as well as live music.
Commenting, Jo said:
“The Help for Heroes day was lots of fun and I’m thrilled that it raised more than £3000 for such a good cause. I chatted to soldiers who had served in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as Sierra Leone and Kosovo, and everyone was in good spirits. Well done to everyone at the Burnbrae and the Premier Inn who put in all that effort to organise a great day and give something back to our brave men and women who have given so much for this country.”
