Jo has welcomed the Council’s decision to issue an interim licence to the organisers of Milngavie Farmers’ Market.
The monthly market, which was cancelled this month due to a dispute over its licensing, will be held as normal on the first Wednesday in June.
Commenting, Jo said:
“It will come as a huge relief to all the stallholders of Milngavie Farmers’ Market that they will be able to trade in June thanks to an interim licence being issued. The market is a much-loved part of life in Milngavie, and I hope that a long term solution can now be found to secure its future. I have met with both Renfrewshire Farmers’ Market Co-operative and Fayre Events this week, and I am optimistic that if the Council reviews the situation carefully, a more fair arrangement can be reached.”
