Polling day: Scottish Parliament and the Alternative Vote referendum

Today is polling day in East Dunbartonshire for the Scottish Parliament Elections and the UK-wide referendum on the voting system used to elect MPs to the House of Commons.

Jo is backing Scottish Liberal Democrat candidates Gordon Macdonald (Strathkelvin and Bearsden) and John Duncan (Clydebank and Milngavie). To find out more about the Scottish Liberal Democrats, visit www.scotlibdems.org.uk

Today’s referendum on changing the voting system from the current First Past the Post (FPTP) method, to the Alternative Vote (AV) is a historic opportunity for change to a fairer system where everyone’s voices are heard.
