Schools and Clubs equipment is a hit – Jo

Jo recently visited Tesco in Kirkintilloch for the presentation of the “Tesco for Schools and Clubs” scheme to local primary schools.

Tesco staff, Jo and pupils from Lairdsland, Holy Family, Lenzie Moss and Torrance Primary Schools.

Pupils from Lairdsland, Holy Family, Lenzie Moss and Torrance Primary Schools have received boxes of useful equipment, from paints and pencils to footballs, after collecting and redeeming their vouchers from Tesco purchases.

Customers in the area have so far collected 1300 schools and clubs vouchers after making purchases in Tesco stores and petrol stations, and in return for recycling old mobile phones and empty inkjet cartridges. Over the summer, the scheme produced an astonishing £9982 worth of items for East Dunbartonshire’s schools and clubs.

Commenting, Jo said:

“I had a great time last Friday learning about the exciting new equipment that pupils will be receiving from the Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme. It is fantastic to see that so many Tesco customers here in East Dunbartonshire are collecting schools and clubs vouchers so that local schoolchildren can benefit from a whole range of brand new creative, ICT and sports gear.”
