Susan Murray has built a strong reputation as a hardworking campaigner in East Dunbartonshire. As a Councillor, she has campaigned for improving local services. She called for rail services cut in Lenzie, Bishopbriggs and along the Milngavie Line to be brought back, and for new school buildings in Bishopbriggs, Milngavie, Westerton and Bearsden.
Having lived here with her family for over 30 years, Susan now wants to use her experience to get the best deal for local people.
We need more MPs like Susan - people who will fight for our local community.
East Dunbartonshire has been let down by the SNP and people are backing Susan to be the change that the area needs. People want a MP that will stand up for them and give a strong voice to the local area.
Too many MPs are career politicians with no understanding of life in the real world. She is a successful businesswoman who lives locally and will use here experience getting things done as an East Dunbartonshire councillor to deliver on the issues that matter most to residents.
For Susan, improving local healthcare is a personal priority. When her husband suffered a stroke, she became a carer. Her experience means Susan knows just how important it is to have good quality NHS facilities in our community, like the new Milngavie health and care centre she is campaigning for.
The next election in Mid Dunbartonshire will be closely fought between Susan and the SNP. The previous election for East Dunbartonshire the Lib Dems only lost out by 149 votes making the seat the most marginal in Scotland!
Back Liberal Democrat Susan Murray's campaign to become the next MP for Mid Dunbartonshire.
