Residents of Torrance have long struggled with infrequent and unreliable bus services, leaving many without a practical way to get around without a car. Adam Harley and the Scottish Liberal Democrats are calling on First Bus to improve services for the village, including rerouting some buses from Kirkintilloch Road into Torrance. Better bus links will give local people the reliable, accessible transport they deserve.

Adam Harley, candidate for Strathkelvin and Bearsden, said:

"Alongside Lib Dem volunteers, I’ve now knocked on every door in Torrance and spoken to hundreds of local residents. One issue has come up time and time again: the quality of the bus service in the village.

"People have told me just how difficult it is to get around without a car, with buses that are too infrequent and unreliable.

"That’s why I’m calling on First Bus to increase the service in Torrance. One practical way to do this would be for some of the many buses that already travel along Kirkintilloch Road to take a short detour down the hill into Torrance.

"The best way to persuade First Bus to act is to show just how many local people want better services.
