Scot Lib Dems have now knocked 50% of doors in Strathkelvin & Bearsden since Jan 1st
Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Strathkelvin & Bearsden Adam Harley has today said that his campaign is one of the biggest in Scotland, knocking on more than 16,000 doors since the start of the year.
There are 59,545 registered electors in the constituency of Strathkelvin & Bearsden spread across 32,293 households.
The Scottish Liberal Democrats have now knocked more than 16,000 doors since January 1st.
Adam Harley said:
"Since the start of the year, my team and I have knocked on more than 16,000 doors. That's half the constituency.
"That means that this is one of the biggest election campaigns in the country. Neither Labour nor the Conservatives are running real campaigns because they know that only Scottish Liberal Democrats can beat the SNP in Strathkelvin & Bearsden.
"This is my community, I grew up here and I'm now raising my family here. So, I love getting out on the doorsteps and talking to people about the issues that matter to them.
"People have told me that they are frustrated by how far they have to travel to get to medical appointments and how hard it is to find a GP. They are outraged at the state of the roads and the council and the government failing to get the basics right. And they are frustrated that Scottish education is not what it once was.
"Scottish Liberal Democrats are going full steam ahead because this seat is so important to the election result. In key constituencies like Strathkelvin & Bearsden we can win and stop the SNP from getting a majority and spending the next five years obsessing over things that don't matter instead of getting on with tackling the issues that people care about, like fixing the roads, putting more staff in GP surgeries and pupil support assistants in classrooms."
